Awww! This was great. I love the imagery. Made me feel like I was home again, but visiting! The part about the bridal shower is hilarious.
I’m in love with Acorn! His high spirit and sturdy character are beautiful as are the family connections between all of you. The story is heartwarming and teases the senses with color and depth of change in the seasons you describe.

Our adventures could stand juxtaposed with yours the winter memories in snow country, and mine, filled with jaunts through the orange groves and trails of the 70’s in Simi Valley, CA.
